1 cup rolled oats

Sift together flour soda, salt and baking powder.

Cream shortening and add brown and white sugar, beat until fluffy.

Add eggs and vanilla

Now combine dry ingredients.

Spoon onto cookie sheet and cook in 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.

Once cooked place on cookies on cooling rack.
