Makes 2 9” round cakes or 1 9 x 13 rectangular cake

½ cup butter
2 cups sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
In a separate bowl measure the following
1 ¾ cups cup flour
¾ cup cocoa
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 pinch salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Mix dry ingredients together

Add dry ingredients alternating with the 1 ¾ cup milk.

Once everything is mixed then place in a greased pan.

Bake for 45 minutes or until done.

Simple way to frost the cake is by layering approximately ¾ cup chocolate chips on the cake once it comes out of the oven. Allow the semi-sweet chocolate chips to melt and then spread evenly.
